Built by Women,
For Women in Pharmacy
PWNA was born from a simple idea — that pharmacist women deserve a community that truly sees them, supports them, and celebrates them at every stage.
It began the way most great things do — with one woman who decided to show up for others. Chara Reid-Reed created a private Facebook group for pharmacist women: a space to share, to vent, to celebrate, to grow. And then another woman joined. And another.
That group — now home to over 14,400 members — became something no one anticipated: a movement. Women from every pharmacy specialty, every career stage, and every background finding their people in one place.
What the group proved was undeniable — pharmacist women were hungry for real connection, real support, and real community. The Pharmacist Women Networking Association was founded to take that energy further, giving the movement a professional home, a conference stage, and the recognition pharmacy women have always earned.
“One woman’s growth, connection, and leadership inspiring many — that is the ripple effect we are building.”
